Parents are calling in response to last month's article requesting information about the unusual children being born today. Each month I will address different aspects of who they are and simple suggestions from the children themselves.
Working with these children requires a shift in perspective. We mustrelease our grasp on old paradigms and beliefs about life itself: the conditions of birth and death, how we were raised, acknowledged, and validated. To see these young humans as masters-in-form we must look from the soul essence within ourselves. Okay - you say, but how do we DO that?
The first step is to reclaim the joy in your life - find the God with. The second step now that you've found your soul, is to see everything in life as a divine extension of that essence. Remember what it feels like after a massage, a healing session or making love? Remember BEING IN LOVE - colors are brighter, you want to sing and dance. This is the true human condition and requires falling in love with yourself - its the only way the soul will feel safe to be fully present.
Most babies and children experience the world this way, constant wonderment - an unfolding series of expressions of God. Imagine how you look in their eyes. An expression of the soul, or disconnected exhausted stressed out, frustrated and confused by the overwhelming responsibilities of job - family - service. If you find yourself wondering about your purpose the quality of your life consider a choice to discover who you really are and live from your soul's drives. Our life is the result of what we do, not what we want or what we think. Make an agreement with your soul and pledge to take one hour daily (2hrs. if you're in a service or helping profession). Do something that brings you joy, something you rarely make time for and consider a luxury - a secret desire. This activity reconnects you to how your secret self your soul -expresses. Try being devoted to allowing the soul to speak through your actions. Where does this hour come from? Only you know yet it will change your life and how you relate to your children.
Next month:Unconditional Love and Validation - a critical step in conscious parenting. These amazing kids are mirrors for us. If we don't treat them with respect, allowing their soul to express, they will act out until we do or shut down and eventually die. Unlike previous generations they will not be molded or forced into dysfunctional patterns.
