The legendary Hugo winning (1967) fanzine first published in 1960 is alive and well. It is now renamed PULPDOM; a bi-monthly magazine for readers and collectors of those really old pulp magazines. BRIEF HISTORY OF SF & PULP MAGAZINES, ILLUSTRATED. PULPDOM is about all 35,000 pulp magazines, but we admit a concentration on pre-1930 titles, with occasional sojourns into other rare old magazines and early fantastic books.

Inside the USA, for just $24, you get 6 issues, at least one every other month. (There were 6 issues in 1996, and 9 were published in 1997.) Subscription orders with your address should be sent to:

 P.O. Box 2340

The current issue will be sent immediately! And all of our back issues are available: BACK ISSUES.

PULPDOM is presented as if it were a "pulp magazine", with a serial, a short story and/or an article or two, usually illustrated. Check our INDEX. It's in an 8.5 x 11 inch format, usually 36 pages, slick cover and saddle stitched. It is a very limited edition, less than 300 copies. We've been publishing since 1988, and before that, ERB-dom lived for 16 years!

The most important part of PULPDOM is that it features "never reprinted before" pulp stories, always of a "fantastic adventure" nature, and always illustrated. We have reprinted 8 forgotten fantastic novels and several shorts from the pulps: NOVELS REPRINTED. (A worthy exception is ERB's "Under the Moons of Mars"from The All-Story, 1912.)

We also illustrate with old pulp covers, 'Table of Contents' pages, old ads and anecdotes from original pulp magazines. There is a never-ending exposition of adventure stories and authors from the early pulp era. Check out the INDEX. In the future, we promise to continue to inform and educate you about fantastic fiction from the 1890's through the 1920's, and beyond. We love pulp magazines: the way they look, the way they smell, the way they read.

PULPDOM incorporates THE FANTASTIC COLLECTOR, an "adzine" (advertising) and a news source for collectors who buy, sell and trade pulp magazines, vintage paperbacks and hardcover books. Ad rates are very cheap, i. e. $12 for full page.

PULPDOM also incorporates ERB-dom with articles about Edgar Rice Burroughs, king of pulps: INDEX.

Foreign subscriptions: Canada $25; Central & S. America $26, Europe $32, Pacific $35.
